Description
Located on the Red Sea between rocky hillsides and the Arabian Desert is Hurghada. A small fishermen's village ten years ago, Hurghada has grown into a favourite spot for scuba divers and other water sports enthusiasts. It is a place for relaxation under almost permanent sunshine - as it only rains in Hurghada two or three days a year. Hurghada is also an ideal stop-over on the way to or back from Luxor. The road from Hurghada to Cairo takes the visitor by St. Paul and St. Anthony, two of the worlds oldest and most interesting coptic monasteries definitely worth visiting.
