'Best Hotel in Bournemouth' The Guardian. The Historic Country House Hotel. Fine Dining History & Ambience. Use of State of the Art Health Club and indoor pool
This is the historic home of Edward VII & Lillie Langtry. In a country packed with over 10,000 hotels, very occasionally you stumble on a rare gem of an hotel where the building, food, service and history, blend to form something quite exceptional. This warm inviting home is not only steeped in history and romance, but offers the highest standards of fresh food and personal service. All the bedrooms are individually designed and many of them, including the King's own majestic apartment, have four poster beds. Lillie's award winning Restaurant is a firm favourite with locals in Bournemouth receiving many accolades from local press. Set in the magnificent dining room with Minstrels Gallery, chandeliers and inglenook fireplace, it has to be seen to be properly appreciated. The main building is accompanied by Lord Derby's Home, the Langtry Lodge, where rooms are also allocated and it is situated 50 yards away (breakfast in main building). Located on a quite tree lined avenue, Langtry Manor is close to Bournemouth's cosmopolitan town centre and beautiful gardens and beaches. Please inform reception prior to arrival if you are going to be arriving later than 10pm. Due to its popularity if you would like to dine in the exclusive Lillie Langtry's Restaurant, it is advised to make a reservation for your first night stay before arrival.
