Hotel Description
The Grimīs Dyke Hotel was built in 1870 as the country home of Frederick Goodall, the Vixtorian painter. Now this attractive country retreat is known more for its association with the librettist Sir William Gilbert, of Gilbert and Sullivan fame. Sir William lived in the house from 1890 until his death in 1911.
