The Coach House was built on a site which was originally an Anglo Saxon settlement in 850 AD, it was built by The Duke of Bedford in 1857 to his own design as part of a model farm, and it was sold in 1988 and converted to a high standard. In 1996 an adjoining property was property was purchased to give the hotel a total of 12 bedrooms.
