Backing on to a pretty square in York, Holmwood House is part of a Grade II Listed, early Victorian terrace of houses. It has been lovingly restored to retain the ambience of a private home, providing elegant rooms in which to relax.
We have a comfortable sitting room with an open fire, where you can browse the information about York. Breakfast is our speciality with a wide selection including Craster Kippers. We cater for special diets, by arrangement. Holmwood House is West of the city walls, which are a short walk away. The wonderful York Minster and the Shambles, as well as the Jorvik Viking centre, the Railway Museum and many other attractions, within easy walking distance. We are conveniently located for the railway station and for easy access to the Yorkshire countryside:: from Scarborough and Whitby, to beaches at Filey and Robin Hoods Bay, the uplands of the Wolds, the Moors, the Dales.
