Description
Imagine being roused in your royal palace by a harmony of bells and gongs that call a thousand Laotian Buddhist monks to their duties. This daily ritual in Luang Prabang engenders an air of spiritual contemplation. This is a treasure trove of beautiful temples and royal palaces of which Maison Souvannaphoum Hotel is one. It is a collection of splendid royal chambers of different sizes and character brought right up to date with the addition of all the luxuries and technologies of our age. There is also a touch of contemporary to the ancestral glory of the décor. The rooms overlook a garden that brings refreshing serenity to your stay. Elephant Blanc, the restaurant by the pool, reflects the cultures of the region in its cuisine - French, Laotian (a derivation of Thai) and Indochinese. A menu of another sort, dedicated to your health, is offered in the Angsana Spa. This jewel of a place rightly features in Condé Nast Traveller's 2005 Hot List.
