Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is located within the Sanctuary of the Inca citadel, Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas (Inkas), one of the most famed examples of Inca (Inka) architecture.

Transfer to Machu Picchu (from Cuzco)
There are a variety of ways to get to Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge:
By train to Aguas Calientes. Allow three and a half hours
By coach (or taxi) to Ollantaytambo, then by train to Aguas Calientes. Allow three and a half to four hours
A regular bus service operates between Aguas Calientes and the Inca ruins where Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is located. Allow 20 minutes
By foot along the old Inca trail. Allow four to six days
ACCOMMODATION
The Sanctuary Lodge has 2 suites and 29 rooms, 12 of them, with an amazing view of the mountains. The Lodge interior garden, apart from the beautiful panoramic view, has a variety of local flowers and orchids.

RESTAURANTS AND BARS
Enjoy our Peruvian and international dishes and experience the culinary diversity and tradition of centuries past at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge restaurants and bars. The Tinkuy Buffet Restaurant, located in a preferential place of the Lodge, has a maximum capacity of 200, and offers a daily lunch buffet which is open to the general public. The Tampu Bar Restaurant, with a 72 person maximum capacity, has an exclusive location and stylish modern Andean decoration. There is also a snack-bar, El Mirador, with its great location as it is situated next to the entrance of the Citadel.
VISITORS' INFORMATION
Water
Drinking water from the tap is not recommended. Use
bottled water. Most tap water in Peru is processed differently than
abroad and therefore could well make you sick. Do not eat food from any
of the numerous vendors, cooking in pushcarts along the streets.
Tips
In restaurants, the tip is included in the price and it is not
necessary to leave anything additional, unless you would like to.
Likewise, taxi drivers do not expect a tip either.
Banks and Money Changers
There is one Bank in Aguas Calientes (Banco de Credito)
and one ATM machine. You are also welcome to exchange US dollars
Travellers cheques and US dollars to Peruvian currency at the Front
Desk. Please note that we do not change Traveller's cheques to US
dollars, only to Peruvian currency (Nuevos Soles).

The voltage in the electrical outlets in your room is 220 V and 110 V in the bathrooms.
Luggage
We offer a luggage storage service. After your check-out, bags can be
stored until your return to Aguas Calientes and can also be delivered
directly to the train station upon request.
Safety Boxes
An electronic safety box can be found in your room, which
is free of charge to use. We recommend that you use this facility for
all your personal valuables. The hotel cannot be held responsible for
the loss of items not stored in the safety box in your room.

Water
Tap water is safe to drink, however, complimentary bottled water is
delivered to your room each evening at turn-down. The water used in the
kitchen, bar and restaurant is treated water and is 100% drinkable. All
our vegetables and fruits are washed with purified water. Ice is also
made of 100% purified water.
