Set in its own picturesque, 360-acre estate, Le Meridien Penina Golf & Resort offers three golf courses designed by Sir Henry Cotton. Transportation to the Hotel
Le Meridien Penina is now an easy two minutes' access from the motorway following the recent extension of the motorway to Lagos, which has also reduced the journey time between Faro Airport and Penina from 50 to 30 minutes. A transfer to the hotel from Faro Airport, in a chauffeur-driven, air conditioned taxi, costs approximately EUR 65.00, from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m., and approximately EUR 75.00, from 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. A minibus transfer, for a maximum of eight people, costs around EUR 80.00 each way. The nearest railway station is Portimão, five kilometres from the hotel. There is also a bus stop in front of the property, and a beach shuttle service operating from June to September.

Children
Penguin Village - Le Meridien Penina's unique facility for children that offers a range of activities including an adventure play area, swimming pool and slide, crèche, toys, arts and crafts materials and a Penguin Mac Restaurant, which is open during Penguin Village opening times. Bicycles, film shows and a bouncy castle are further facilities for children.
Penguin Village facilities have to be confirmed with room reservation and the name and age of the children in order to validate discounts.

Babysitting - a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for babysitting. The hotel does not provide a baby listening service. Cots are available in both Penguin Village and in the rooms.
Children's menu - an à la carte children's menu is available at Sagres Restaurant and the Club Brasserie for children up to 11 years of age, and there is an à la carte or buffet lunch / dinner at the Penguin Village. High chairs are available.
Guest Room Information
Standard - with views over the resort course or the Monchique Mountains, these rooms benefit from air conditioning, satellite television, a minibar, safe and hairdryer.
Superior - these rooms have views over the pool and Championship golf course. All benefit from private balconies in addition to air conditioning, satellite television, a minibar, safe and hairdryer.
Studio - pool view rooms, that consist of a split-level bedroom / sitting room. All are on the 4th floor.
Junior Suites - overlooking the pool and Championship golf course, these suites consist of a twin-bedded room with separate lounge, satellite television, a minibar, balcony, air conditioning, safe and hairdryer.
Grand Suites - these suites have either one or two twin bedrooms and two or four bathrooms. The lounge is very much larger than Junior Suite lounges.
Extra beds - are only applicable to children aged up to 12 years inclusive. Standard and pool view bedrooms can take one extra bed only, which will be free on a bed and breakfast basis. Junior and Grand Suites can take two extra beds, which will be free on a bed and breakfast basis.
Discounts do not apply for children staying in their own room. All children up to and including 12 years of age receive 50% discount in the hotel restaurants for lunch and dinner (excludes Penguin Mac children's restaurant).

Disabled
All bedrooms are adapted for the disabled, in terms of wide doorways, wide rooms etc; however, bedrooms are not adapted to wheelchair-bound persons although all the hotel doors are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There are ramps to the hotel entrance and around the hotel and grounds. In the public areas there are also toilets adapted for the disabled.
