- Located just off Interstate 90 at Exit 241, Days inn of Conneaut is a great location for the outdoor enthusiast, traveling family, or business traveler. Fishing is fabulous in Conneaut. Whether you are trolling for walleye and perch in Lake Erie or fly fishing in the Conneaut Creek, you will be sure to reach your limit in record time in the Conneaut area. Conneaut Creek has been named one of the top trout fishing streams in the United States. Steelhead trout abound in the creek, which winds through the city of Conneaut and one of the best fishing holes is less than 1/4 mile away from the hotel. Conneaut Harbor has marinas and boat ramps to accommodate the boaters. Charter captains offer the services to travelers looking for a professional lake adventure to capture walleye and perch. And if you ask, we can probably give you directions to some great bass fishing too.
- Railroading has a long and proud history in the city of Conneaut as well. The Nickel Plate Railroad Museum is located in Conneaut, just minutes from the hotel. See an actual stream engine, coal car and caboose on exhibit at the museum.
- And don't forget the covered bridges of Ashtabula County. There are 16 covered bridges in Ashtabula County, Ohio. Four of the bridges are located here in Conneaut, all within 7 miles of the hotel. A Covered Bridge Festival is held every year, the second full weekend of October. Driving maps to locate the bridges are available at the hotel.
- They don't call Ashtabula County the Napa of the East for no reason. In the county alone there are 19 wineries. Four great wineries are a short distance from our hotel. A newly established county Ice Wine Festival kicks off the season in early spring, a Wine and Bloom Festival in May, the Blessing of the Vines in June and the harvest in the fall will provide visitors plenty of interesting things to do and see while visiting. Transportation to the local wineries is also available.
- One more highlight of the summer in Conneaut is the annual D-Day Reenactment. Conneaut Township Park features one of the largest beaches on Lake Erie. Every June a reenactment of the Normandy Invasion is staged on the beach with the allies landing on the beach in Navy landing crafts and the Germans defending the beach bluffs while vintage airplanes fly overhead. Reenactors, numbering approx. 500 set up camps at the army life at that time. Watching the "Invasion" is a truly thrilling experience that you and/or your family will never forget.
- Days Inn of Conneaut is 65 miles west of Cleveland, OH; 30 miles west of Erie, PA; and 20 miles north of the Pymatuning Reservoir Area.
