The hotel is situated on the southern boundary of the Carmarthenshire seaside village of Ferry side. The village nestles on the Three Rivers estuary of Carmarthen Bay.

Ferryside grew from the now non-operational Ferry crossing on the river Tywi, on the ancient pilgrims route to St David's Cathedral.
