Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport (TPE) is located 40 kilometres (25 miles) south-west of the central area of Taipei. The two-terminal airport is Taipei's gateway to the world and is served by a number of major airlines.
There are excellent passenger facilities within the two terminals at CKS International Airport. Banking facilities can be found throughout the airport, providing various facilities including ATMs and a bureau de change. The food options at CKS International Airport are sublime, with local and internationally themed eateries and bars throughout the complex. Duty-free shopping is also available and, for the business traveller, conference facilities can be provided on request.
For those looking to rent a vehicle on arrival in Taipei, there are car hire desks for all the major car rental firms in the arrivals area of both terminals.
Car parking at CKS International Airport is sufficient and conveniently located for the terminals. The car parks are located on the ground level of the east and west sides of the Terminal 1 building and on the ground and underground levels of the east and west sides of the Terminal 2 building.
