Hotel Description
The construction of Ambos Mundos Hotel began in the 1923. Its ground floor was dedicated to lobby and the first and second floor to residence with 19 rooms each and bathroom services. In May of 1924, it grows with the construction of the third and fourth floor, 18 rooms with bathroom and a department that was a private house. In 1931 it is added another floor, where the kitchen and the restaurant are built. Starting from 1932 Ernest Hemingway stayed in the hotel, until the endings of 1939 when he moves to Finca Vigia. In the room 511, he wrote some articles for the Esquire magazine and a great part of one of his most famous novels - ´For Whom the Bells Tolls´ -.
