The Old Swan Hotel is a superior first-class, traditional property.
It originated from an 18th-Century coaching inn, the Old Swan was rebuilt in 1840. Set in 5 1/2 acres of gardens, the hotel is famous as the retreat of Agatha Christie during her disapearance in 1926. All rooms have satellite colour TV, telephone, radio and a welcome refreshment tray. The hotel has two restaurants and croquet lawn. Private parking is available free of charge with space for up to 200 cars. Conference rooms can accommodate up to 350 people. All of the guest rooms are comfortable and nicely equipped to give a feeling of being home while away from home. The Old Swan are proud to announce commencement of their 4.3m refurbishment programme. All public areas are due for completion in December 2005 with all 136 bedrooms and bathrooms to be completed by February 2006. Public areas will be brough back to their former glory, beautiful furnishings complemented by the character and grandeur of the property. Bedrooms will have a more modern feel with new bathroom suites and the standards you would expect of a 4 star hotel.
