Santorini Thira Airport (JTR): General Guide
Unlike many of the Greek islands, Santorini is lucky enough to have its own airport, making the journey there that much easier.
Santorini Thira Airport (JTR) is located on the East of the island, nearby the towns of Kamari and Monolithos. The airport is primarily used by charter airlines operating around Europe, such as Thomas Cook, EasyJet and Transavia, as well as the Greek airlines Aegean Air and Olympic Air.

The airport is equipped with the usual tourist amenities such as an ATM, duty free store, café, travel agent and car hire desks. As it is quite a small airport, it is best to do any souvenir shopping before you leave for the airport.

The cheapest way to reach your resort is by the public airport bus service, which runs every 30 minutes. Shared airport transfers are also a convenient way to travel, and usually in air-conditioned coaches. These can usually be arranged with your hotel.
Taxis are available outside the airport, however they may be in high demand during the peak tourist season. Taxis operate on a fixed price for the various resorts and towns.
