Located just 12 kilometres from the city centre, the Bilbao Airport is one of the most outstanding symbols of this industrial city’s renewed vigour. At present, the airport is served by 14 airlines and features a single terminal.
Bilbao Airport Terminals
For the convenience of passengers, the Bilbao Airport’s single terminal offers many thoughtful facilities and services, including banking, currency exchange, outlets for shopping, cafes and restaurants. In addition to this, car rental facilities, VIP lounges and medical assistance are also available.
Car Rental
Four car rental companies (Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National Atesa) operate from the Bilbao Airport. Public assistance offices for these rental car companies are located on the ground floor of the parking building.
Parking
The airport features two parking facilities, General Parking and Express Parking. General Parking is more suited for durations exceeding half an hour. Express Parking, as the name suggests, is for shorter stays and is conveniently located closer to the terminal building.
Transportation
Getting to and from the Bilbao Airport is very convenient, as buses operate from the nearby city to the airport and back. Arriving passengers can also take a taxi from the airport’s taxi rank, located just outside the terminal building.
