Arriving by Air
The Bilbao Airport is located just 12 kilometres from Bilbao city and is well connected to most other parts of Spain. For the convenience of travellers, car rental options are also available at the airport.

By Bus
From the Estación de Buses de Garillano, several buses operate to and from San Sebastian, Madrid, Barcelona and many other destinations. Buses are a fairly economical mode of transport and are also the best way to travel within the city.
By Train
More expensive than bus transportation (unless you are under 26 years or have a rail pass), trains in Bilbao operate from the Renfe Station on Plaza Circular 2. Short distance trains operate to the metropolitan areas of Bilbao while others operate to all major destinations in Spain and its surrounds.
There are also two night trains per week to and from the Mediterranean Coast - one towards Alicante and Valencia and the other toward Málaga, both during the summer months.
