Marrakech Three Day Weather ForecastLoading... |
Marrakech is Africa’s sunshine jewel and sun worshippers will adore its 11-hour daylight climatic conditions. However, it is advisable for people who are not accustomed to the intense dry humidity levels to exercise extra caution from sun-strokes and sunburns.
Marrakech enjoys subtropical Saharan temperatures fanned by cool breezes blowing in from the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Winters can be fairly cold and the summers very hot.
Marrakech is extremely hot in mid-summer, often experiencing an average daily maximum temperature of a searing 38°C (100°F) in July, worsened by the Chergui, a fiery desert wind. However, oceanic winds generally keep the temperatures down to a more acceptable 27°C (81°F), especially in August. The heat in the summer is also largely determined by the winds. During summers it’s advisable to leave a little early, and to return before midday. During the afternoon, the temperatures can become quite uncomfortable. After 6:00 pm, the temperatures become pleasant again.
Winter lasts from November to March and is the most pleasant time to visit Marrakech, offering mostly rain-free days and moderately humid and warm conditions. Marrakech is a favourite spot for holidaymakers at this time of the year, with average daily maximum of 21ºC (70ºF), 7 hours of sunshine, and about 20-24 dry days each month. This falls dramatically at night. Seasonal rain showers normally arrive towards November and usually last until March. In the Atlas Mountains, temperatures can drop below zero and mountain peaks are snow-capped throughout most of the year.
