Verona - Getting There
Getting to Verona by Air
It is possible to reach the city of Verona via two airports - Verona International Airport and Verona Bresica Airport. From both, you can reach the city by taking a taxi. The fare will be significantly less from verona International which is located over 40km closer to the city than Bresica.
If you are arriving at Bresica, there is an Aerobus which connects the airport with Verona's Porta Nuova train station for a fare of €11.
Getting to Verona by Rail
Verona is well connected to other major towns in Italy with direct routes to Venice on its east in just over an hour, and Milan on its West in under 1.5 hours. One can also travel to Rome by changing at Bologna, with the journey lasting just over four hours.
The Italian rail system is a very quick and easy way to travel around the region, or the country in fact, and tickets can be purchased at the station or online. If you plan to do a lot of train travel, it would be worth investing in a rail pass or a carnet of ten journeys (which offers a saving of 20% on the regular ticket price).
Getting to Verona by Road
The A4 highway connects Verona with the Lake Garda region and Bresica, and Milan (160km away) in the West, and the Venetan coast in the East. If you wish to travel by coach, EuroLines has many routes within Italy and also internationally.
